Dell HBA350i Adapter NFYVN 12Gb SAS-3 PCIe 4.0 HBA IT Mode for ZFS TrueNAS unRAID. Listed for sale are Dell HBA350i Adapter controllers, with Dell P/N NFYVN. These are the Dell equivalent to the Broadcom 9500-8i HBA SAS-3 controllers. They are ready for use with ZFS, TrueNAS, Unraid, or other technologies that require an HBA IT mode type of controller. These have been fully updated with Dell HBA350i IT (Initiator Target) firmware version P24 (specifically 24.15.03.00).

They are also flashed with Dell BIOS ROM version 09.47.01.00 and UEFI ROM 24.00.02.00. This card comes in full / standard profile, but also includes a low profile bracket. The PCIe brackets may not always be the original Dell brackets as some of these cards were installed in "internal" slots. I have added a suitable aftermarket bracket where necessary. Dell IT mode firmware version P24 (24.15.03.00).

Dell BIOS ROM flashed version 09.47.01.00. Dell UEFI ROM flashed version 24.00.02.00. Supports PCIe 4.0 x8. Comes with BOTH full profile and low profile brackets. Uses SFF-TA-1016 MCIO 8i "wide" SAS connectors.

These HBA controllers are based on the Broadcom SAS3816 SAS controller chipset and support PCI-E 4.0 specifications with x8 lanes, providing up to 15,760MB/sec bandwidth between this card and your system! The controller has 1 SFF-TA-1016 MCIO 8i connector, carrying 8 SAS-3 lanes. You will need a compatible cable to connect these to your hard drives or backplane.

CAUTION: Please note that SFF-TA-1016 MCIO 8i cables have limited selection. Please be sure you are able to find the cables you need before ordering this card. These cards are fully tested in my Supermicro server running ZFS on Linux (ZoL), but this setup is also ideal for other ZFS setups, TrueNAS, unRAID, Proxmox VE, etc. I have fully tested them using all 8 SAS lanes.
